Upgrades

TAP have extensive experience of supplying systems for large scale new build plants however we also specialise in extending and upgrading existing facilities. This sort of work is quite different from new build. It requires an ability to work with what is already on site, interact with a live operational plant, and ensure that production is not jeopardised. Whether it is replacement of legacy equipment or adding plant and capabilities to existing installations, TAP has extensive experience of working with operational plant. In terms of working with critical applications they don't come much more critical than our upgrade of the aircraft refuelling systems at Heathrow Airport. In this upgrade the complex live system was commissioned in the short periods that the airport was closed overnight. Each morning everything had to be back up and running as the first planes touched down at 5 am.
